BoA’s first time in mainstream America with debut song “Eat You Up” has received good responses in the U.S. as well as Italy and Japan. On October 22 (Korea time), BoA’s “Eat You Up” was #2 on U.S. iTunes’ dance “Top Songs” and on Italy’s and Japan’s iTunes dance “Top Songs” as #1.

It has also been announced that BoA’s promotional video will be shown on the big screen in New York and Los Angeles to promote activities. Starting November 14 (U.S. local time) the public will be able to watch highlights from Cha Eun Taek’s version of the “Eat You Up” music video on a large screen installed on Broadway in New York and Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. It will be shown every two minutes in NY and LA from 7am to 10pm to continue exposure and focus on local interest of the population in the U.S.

The large screen is to be up for 3 months, as well as a variety of other images that are still disclosed.

  1. YESSSS! they’re showing the ASIAN VERSION???

  2. OMG! thank god they’re showing the asian version. it shows off her dancing. the american one has good closed ups, but they cut the good parts out of the dance.

  3. YAY 😀
    Asian version ♥

  4. Lols, can I just say YAY! Good response! And good choice for shoosing Cha Eun Taek’s version of the PV? So much more charismatic and artistically pleasing- in my eyes anyways.
    Go BoA! Best of luck~

  5. Thank goodness they are showing the Asian version. The American version was really bad all around. I’m so glad that she is doing pretty good and I can’t wait to hear more!

  6. Thanks for this info! I’m happy that the Asian version will be shown in NYC and LA; hopefully I can spot it in NY. Do you know where on Broadway it will be shown, like in Times Square (doubtful) or Koreatown?

  7. ^ not sure yet… the article didn’t give details, sorry. ^^;

  8. I wish I were in LA to see it 🙂

  9. wow, nice. hope this is true.

    asian mv owns

  10. thank you so much for choosing to use the asian version!!!! freaking thats called justice! the us version was just totally crap. the asian version puts boa in a better light and i think highlights her talents a lot more cuz its easier on the eyes. man, im glad she’s finally gonna here!!! i cant wait for her concerts!! IM SO THERE!!

  11. Asian version FTW…
    That is all lol

  12. Yes! ^ I agree. Asian version FTW! XD

  13. I still the flaw within this plan… THEY’RE STILL SHOWING THE AMERICAN VERSION!!!

  14. I saw it! I was waiting for the metro at the corner of wilsher and western in Koreatown(LA), on thursday october 16th, and amongst adds for spa’s and golf courses, clips from the video popped up!

The thing with the location is that its in Koreatown…on a screen a little too high to catch a good enough glimpse of while you’re driving. The only people that would really get a good look at it are ones waiting for the bus, which are typically hispanic workers who take the bus at this popular transfer point, and to your average citizen it looks like some asian girl dancing, another advertisement that’ll just fade away into the background. iono if its really reaching her target audience, but hey, good luck to her!

  15. the ASIAN version? oh im SO relieeeeeved
at least ppl arent gonna think shes cheap
OMGOMG every 2 mins 7 am to 10 pm? thats a lot lol
    but yayy boa
cant wait till she comes to san francisco
    [she HAS to!]

  16. thank goodness they’re showing the korean version mv! i think it showed off her talents better than the other version. i really disliked the american version, it was TERRIBLE, AWFUL, like one of those ameteurish fanmade videos o__O”

Does anyone have any idea when the MV will be released in Australia? Im not bashing but for some weird reason i think it’ll be funny seeing Boa’s MV on Video Hits, its just so out of the ordinary and random! Like “WOAH! WHAT THE! BOA IS ON TV?!” SPIN OUT @_@ Anyways, i wish her all the best for her debut!
