Singer Solbi shed tears as she said goodbye to hosting MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core.’

Hosting alongside Big Bang’s Dae Sung and Seung Ri, Solbi said in her farewell, “I was very happy to be an MC. Now I will return to being a singer once again,” passing the torch onto Girls’ Generation members Tiffany and Yuri. Consoling Solbi, Dae Sung and Seung Ri were also moved to tears by Solbi’s sadness.

In the meantime, Girls’ Generation also held their farewell stage today wrapping up all ‘Gee’ album activities. Girl’s Generation performed ‘Let’s Talk About Love’ and ‘Gee’ for their fans and gave their farewell.

New MC’s Tiffany and Yuri eagerly await their turn beginning on the 4th of next month.

Ku Hye-sun Talks About her Role in “BOF”

“Loving someone despite all obstacles may be one of the most difficult things in life. It may be harder than living in poverty,” said Ku Hye-sun, who is playing the heroine whom two of the four protagonists are pursuing in the KBS2 hit drama “Boys Over Flowers.” And that is why most women viewers are jealous of her.

In an interview at a shooting site at Eulwangri Beach in Incheon on Sunday, Ku said, “I was skeptical about its success when I decided to take the role. I doubted it would appeal to Koreans because it is based on a Japanese comic book. Taking the role itself was a challenge.”

Girls’ Generation Tiffany Debuts Solo

Girls’ Generation member, Tiffany is debuting with a solo track.

Tiffany participates in the soundtrack of current SBS drama, ‘Princess Ja Myung Go’ with the track, “I Alone.” This will be first time participating on a soundtrack with a solo track since her initial debut.

The work of popular composer, Lee Sang Jun, “I Alone” represents Princess Nak Rang’s sadness which is expressed through Tiffany’s very emotional and strong vocals, alongside a mysterious piano melody and an orchestra.

Tiffany’s solo track will be available online on the 26th on music sites such as Melon and Dosirak. The ‘Princess Ja Myung Go’ soundtrack will be available beginning in early April.

In the meantime, creating the ‘Gee’ craze this year, Girls’ Generation are planning to wrap up their mini album activities by the end of this month.

New Actress Kim Min Ji Cast For ‘Boys Over Flowers’

New actress Kim Min Ji as been selected to play the character known as Umi in the original version of ‘Boys Over Flowers.’

The BOF production company revealed to the Asian Economic Daily news over the phone that, “Kim Min Ji has been decided upon to play the character known as Umi in the Japanese version and she will make her appearance on the 30th in Episode 24 uptil the 25th episode.”

Kim Min Ji was recently in the KBS drama, Empress Cheon Chu and now in BOF she will aid Goo Jun Pyo who loses his memory and ultimately cause a rift between him and Geum Jandi acting as the part of Umi.

In the meantime, ‘Boys Over Flowers’ will end it’s run with the 25th episode to be broadcast on March 31st.

Brand New Day Will Participate in “Boys Over Flowers” OST2

New female group Brand New Day will participate in the second soundtrack of KBS 2TV “Boys Over Flowers.”

Their agent said, “To become part of the ‘Boys Over Flowers’ soundtrack is a good opportunity and experience for them.” The members also said happily, “We are so happy to participate in this soundtrack, and it’s a great honor.”

Brand New Day made their debut in January with their song “살만해” (Survivable).

Accidents & Now Suicide: ‘Boys Over Flowers’ Weighed Down By Trouble

Enjoying larger than life popularity, even in the midst of accidents, KBS ‘Boys Over Flowers’ is constantly weighed down by trouble.

‘Boys Over Flower’s first began it’s broadcast in January and gained popularity as it began recording a 20% program rating after the 3rd episode. The popularity of Lee Min Ho including the F4 also soared, not only in the entertainment world but general society itself became part of the ‘Boys Over Flower Syndrome.’

However, tough schedules and filming overnight, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum, Kim Joon, Koo Hye Sun and other actors playing be it large or small roles were constantly involved in car accidents and ultimately on the 7th, rising actress Jang Ja Yeon took her life amplifying the anxiety among viewers.

Regarding this issue, a persons concerned said, “So many bad things develop continuously that it’s distressing. Why things like this constantly happen, I don’t know,” and “(With the death of Jang Ja Yeon) the actors and staff all fell into shock. I sincerely hope that until we’re finished there are no more different accidents.”

As well as the viewers of ‘Boys Over Flowers’ online, who pray that the deceased may rest in peace and wish for the filming to progress without any negative incidents.

‘BOF’ Jang Ja Yeon Commits Suicide … Last Phonecall, “I Want To Die”

Recieving much attention for her role as part of the villainous trio in KBS ‘Boys Over Flowers,’ actress Jang Ja Yeon stuns everyone by committing suicide in her home on the 7th.

The police revealed that “Jang Ja Yeon was discovered to have committed suicide by her sister today at 7:30PM who reported the discovery to the police,” and “Jang Ja Yeon died by hanging herself at the staircase and no suicide notes or any other effect has been found so far.”

Close friends of Jang Ja Yeon say, “Recently Jang Ja Yeon was facing contract renewal problems with her management company and deeply troubled by problems in the drama among other things,” and also, “Today at 2:30PM, there was a phone call in which she said it’s too difficult and I want to die.”

Hearing the sudden sad news of Jung Ja Yeon’s suicide, Lee Min Ho, Koo Hye Sun, Kim Bum, Kim Joon and the rest of the cast of ‘Boys Over Flowers’ plunged into shock.

Jang Ja Yeon started out in 2006 appearing in a commercial for biscuits then she debuted with a small role in a drama and moving onto currently popular ‘Boys Over Flowers’ where she was recognized for her role as part of the villainous trio.

Lee Min Ho & Koo Hye Sun Enveloped In Rumors Of Romance

Talent Lee Min Ho (22) has been surrounded by rumors of various relationships. And now there are rumors about his involvement with current ‘Boys Over Flowers’ co-star Koo Hye Sun.

However on the 6th, a representative of Lee Min Ho denied the rumors stating, “The news reports don’t have any truth to them. Playing their roles, they are seen together while filming many scenes. And this is where the rumors of a relationship stems from.”

Koo Hye Sun’s representative rejected the rumors as well, “They’re close but not dating. The rumors have surfaced because of the drama’s popularity.”

In the meantime, Lee Min Ho playing F4’s leader, Goo Jun Pyo and Koo Hye Sun playing Geum Jan Di are an on screen couple. Lee Min Ho revealed that, “age doesn’t matter but an elegant woman with a fair complexion” is his ideal type of woman.

‘Boys Of Flowers’ Extends By An Episode

KBS ‘Boys Over Flowers’ will extend by one episode bringing the drama to a total of 25 episodes.

‘Boys Over Flowers’ Production Company, Group Eight revealed that, “The series will be extended by one episode but we can’t say the decision is 100% definite yet. All of the actors haven’t given their OK.”

Furthermore, Group Eight also said, “However, we can affirmatively say to look out for an extension,” and “In the case of the extension, the 25th episode will likely end on the 31st.”

Originally, the plan was to end ‘Boys Over Flowers’ on the 30th with the 24th episode and a Special to follow the next day but if they decide on the extension then it may be unlikely there will be a special.
