Set to release on October 22, Big Bang’s first Japanese album will feature “Number 1.” Listen to the song below. How do you think this will appeal to the Japanese audience? Personally I think it has heavy American influences, but that’s not always a bad thing…

  1. I’ve only ever liked this style from Big Bang, im still not a huge fan of their first Korean album but after that their mini’s have been great~
i think they could do well in Japan because of the americanized sound, but disco is in now too XD

the beginning sounds like it could be used in a CM~

  2. Their new sound would do so well stateside where Americans are starting to like eurodance beats (we’re only about 10 years late). But I just don’t get the impression that Big Bang is making any sort of mark in Japan. And their Japanese “image” seems so confused (40sec preview of the Number 1 MV is out).
